We Don’t Negotiate

1 min read

Wedoourbest does not engage in negotiations with organisations or individuals involved in the trafficking, smuggling, or transportation of human beings or refugees.

Wedoourbest will not, under any circumstances, enter into negotiations in situations involving hostage-taking. While the organisation will take all reasonable and appropriate measures to protect the safety and wellbeing of its employees and volunteers, it will not negotiate with smugglers or with individuals who abduct, detain, harm, or torture members of our staff or volunteer community. Entering into such negotiations would increase the perceived value of our personnel to these actors and could contribute to the creation of more dangerous situations in the future.

Wedoourbest recognises that it carries a significant responsibility, one that may exceed that of many other employers or humanitarian organisations operating. Nevertheless, the organisation considers the protection and support of vulnerable children and young people to be of paramount importance. In pursuit of this mission, Wedoourbest accepts this responsibility and remains committed to acting with courage, integrity, and accountability.
