Wedoourbest is an independent organisation with an international outlook and impact. It has been established by individuals from different countries who share a common vision for future generations and a strong commitment to humanitarian responsibility. The organisation focuses primarily on supporting children and young people across the Asia–Pacific region who are living under difficult and often vulnerable conditions.
The members of Wedoourbest collectively affirm their commitment to a set of guiding humanitarian principles that shape the organisation’s work and conduct.
Wedoourbest seeks to provide assistance to children in distress, including those affected by poverty, social exclusion, natural disasters, human-made crises, and situations of armed conflict. Support is provided without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, political opinion, or social background. The organisation’s sole concern is the wellbeing and protection of children and young people in need.
The organisation maintains a clear position of neutrality and impartiality. Wedoourbest does not align itself with political actors, economic interests, religious institutions, or ideological agendas. Its focus remains exclusively on humanitarian assistance and the needs of children and young people. In order to carry out this work responsibly, the organisation maintains full independence in the exercise of its functions.
All members, employees, and volunteers recognise and respect the organisation’s professional code of ethics. This code establishes clear standards of conduct and emphasises the importance of maintaining complete independence from political, economic, religious, or other external influences that could compromise the organisation’s mission or integrity.
While the needs of vulnerable children and young people across the world are immense, Wedoourbest acknowledges that no single organisation can respond to every situation. Our commitment is therefore to do our very best to assist as many children and young people as possible, focusing our efforts where we can create meaningful and sustainable impact.
Several core principles guide the work and decision-making of Wedoourbest.
Neutrality is fundamental to our approach. The organisation operates without affiliation to political movements, economic interests, religious institutions, or ideological groups. By maintaining strict neutrality, Wedoourbest ensures that its work remains focused solely on humanitarian assistance and the wellbeing of the children and young people we serve.
Structure is equally important in ensuring that the organisation functions effectively and responsibly. Wedoourbest operates through clear planning, transparent procedures, and a carefully designed organisational framework. This structure allows us to use donated resources responsibly and ensures that the largest possible share of funding is directed towards programmes that benefit children and youth.
Independence protects the integrity of our work. Decisions regarding where and how assistance is provided are made solely on the basis of the needs of children and young people. External pressures or influences are not permitted to determine the organisation’s priorities or actions.
Accountability is a central responsibility of Wedoourbest. The organisation is committed to transparency and to the regular evaluation of its activities and their impact. We remain accountable to our stakeholders, including donors, employees, volunteers, and partners, and above all to the children and young people whose lives we seek to improve.
Learning and development are essential to ensuring that our work remains effective. Wedoourbest continually seeks to strengthen its knowledge, methods, and performance so that the organisation can create meaningful impact and deliver assistance in the most responsible and professional manner possible.
Equality underpins the values of the organisation. We believe that all human beings are entitled to dignity, respect, and equal rights. Decisions within Wedoourbest are never influenced by political interests, economic considerations, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. Our focus remains firmly on the needs, safety, and future opportunities of children and young people.
Human trafficking
Human trafficking represents one of the most serious violations of human dignity and of an individual’s fundamental right to autonomy over their own body and life. Those who fall victim to trafficking are frequently among the most vulnerable members of society. Many are disadvantaged individuals, often foreigners or migrants, who find themselves in situations of dependency and control imposed by traffickers who exploit their vulnerability.
Human trafficking constitutes a profound breach of fundamental human rights. It involves exploitation, coercion, and abuse, and it undermines the basic principles of freedom, safety, and dignity that every human being is entitled to enjoy.
Wedoourbest maintains a clear and uncompromising position against all forms of human trafficking. The organisation recognises the devastating impact that trafficking has on individuals and communities, particularly when children and young people are involved. For this reason, Wedoourbest supports efforts aimed at prevention, protection, and awareness, and cooperates with other non-governmental organisations and social services working in this field.
At the same time, the organisation recognises that combating human trafficking requires highly specialised expertise, resources, and security frameworks. The field is complex and, in many cases, dangerous, requiring dedicated investigative and protection mechanisms. For these reasons, Wedoourbest does not lead operational work in this area but instead supports and collaborates with specialised organisations and initiatives that focus specifically on combating trafficking and assisting victims.
Where children and young people are affected by trafficking or are at risk of exploitation, Wedoourbest seeks to cooperate with appropriate authorities and partner organisations to ensure that those individuals receive the protection, care, and professional support they require. In doing so, the organisation remains committed to its broader mission of safeguarding the wellbeing, dignity, and future opportunities of vulnerable children and youth.
