Description

A reported 6.5 magnitude earthquake was felt across Antigua and Barbuda approximately one hour ago. At this time, there have been no reports of significant damage to infrastructure, buildings, utilities, or critical services. Authorities, emergency management agencies, and the Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Society continue to monitor the situation and conduct initial assessments where necessary.

The earthquake was felt by residents across the country, with some persons briefly evacuating homes, offices, and businesses as a precautionary measure. News reports have confirmed that there is currently no tsunami threat associated with this event.
